English Teacher

Key Stage 3 & Key Stage 4 (IGCSE English Language and Literature)

Teach the texts you love to students who actually want to read them. You'll deliver live lessons to classes of twenty, with the autonomy to plan around our Cambridge-aligned curriculum and the support of a department that prizes great teaching over admin.

What you'll do
  • Plan and deliver live KS3 and IGCSE English lessons (45 minutes each, screen-breaks between)
  • Mark and give personalised feedback through our student portal
  • Contribute to departmental schemes of work, mock exam moderation and resource design
  • Hold weekly tutor time and termly parent meetings
  • Stay current with Cambridge IGCSE specifications for English Language and English Literature
What we need from you
  • Subject degree in English (or closely related) and a PGCE or equivalent QTS
  • Three or more years teaching KS3 and KS4 / IGCSE in a UK or international setting
  • Confident with live online teaching tools (interactive whiteboard, breakout rooms, screen-sharing)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • A real love of literature — and the willingness to defend it
